About

I was born on the 26th of June,1985, in the town of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand (the Queen of the Mountains). I live in New Delhi, India with my parents. I study Philosophy, English Literature & Science at home.

I am a deep, logical, emotional and analytical mind. My idealistic and sensitive nature gives me a deep appreciation for the finer things of life and a strong desire to be of service to humanity. There are times when I experience inner turbulence at my inability to say what I mean. It is far easier for me to express my deeper thoughts and feelings through writing than verbally. I am deeply moved by the beauties of life, especially nature and my feelings run very deep.

How can I forget my fellow poets? They encouraged me to write. John Keats, Oscar Wilde, Yeats, Tennyson and Wordsworth etc. are always in my heart, mind and soul. Their words have brought me eternal joy and bliss. They took me to realization and kept me on the stage of enlightenment. I feel, “poetry is a sensation of feelings not of thoughts”.

I am highly influenced by scientists, poets, painters, composers, thinkers and writers. I especially like "Romantic Era" that produced many brilliant minds. Nothing gives me much joy except arts, music, literature, philosophy and science. I grew up reading many biographies of brilliant minds so I don't limit myself in the field of observation. I learn from every thing.

"I dare to think because I know that I can think".

  3. Hello Pushkar, You gave me the url of your blog on my site and so I've stopped over to visit. I see that you like the Romantic poets such as Keats and Wordsworth. Do you also like William Blake? Next, I am going to read some of your poems, and will comment later.

  4. Hello Pushkar!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. It was extremely flattering to receive a comment from a new reader! I love that you are a fellow poet. I know you stated that Romantic Era poets are your passion, but if it's alright I'd like to suggest a couple of contemporary American poets that you might enjoy. My favorites are Maya Angelou, Shel Silverstein and Quincy Troupe. Each one has a very distinct style that differs wildly from the others. I hope that you can find something in their work that speaks to you!

I will subscribe to your blog, and hope that you won't mind doing the same for me!

    Sincerely,
    Alessa Moon
